Tables here, there, everywhere...

Hello!  This is a post to just see if I can even make this work with pictures... don't worry, I have someone who is going to help me with this craziness later this week.  But, me being me, I have to try on my own first.

Here are pictures of the lastest farm table just completed.  Since I have good pics, I decided to post them.  We take the basic-sold-at-every-inexpensive-furniture-store-style table with the light wood top, find chairs from anywhere and create vintage looking farmtables.

Okay, now I'm excited with how easy it was to load those pics.  Now, take a look at the endtables...

  7. I love your round tables and have a similar look in mind for a project. Did you use dark wax to achieve the dimension or just a watered down brown paint over the blue?

    Thanks!

  8. Landry, the paint is actually a Sherwin Williams gray tester with Ralph Lauren glaze tinted to either Tea or Coffee-they are both really close and those cans are now long gone! I brushed the glaze on pretty thick, then wiped it off, working in small sections. I distressed with a sander prior to the glaze all over, then went over with steel wool, then glazed. RL glaze tinted with DARK brown paint does give a great dimensional glaze (I discovered in later experiments). You may want to explore dark wax, which will give you the glazing and finish in one step. I have converted to Annie Sloan chalk paint and waxing and it saves SOO much time! Thanks for reading! I have several more current projects to get posted, so check back in a day or two! Take care!
